Breaking: Did Chester French Just Bash The Jonas Brothers With Their Harvard Mind Tricks?

Besides, Chester French aren’t exactly pop. They’re kinda more along the lines of … well, Michael Bolton, actually. Their soulful take on hip-hop-based-pop runs on some of the same smooth white boy fuel (aka creamy Jif) that made Bolton so… unforgettable. Only where he sounded cheesy, Chester French sound sleazy. In a good way. In a REALLY good way. Here they are, telling their story and, very possibly, bashing The Jonas Brothers. Can you forgive them? If not, take another listen to “She Loves Everybody.” Unngggh!

Watch this super-exclusive Chester French interview, right now, and pay very close attention starting at the 1:05 mark. This is very important. If you’re more of a visual learner, feel free to read along, using the loose but helpful transcript below:

“We didn’t know what direction to go in until The Jonas Brothers came out. The JBs. They showed us the way, the truth and the light. We’re also huge Bolton fans.”

Hmmm… Methinks mesmells a hint of the sarcasm! The last time we heard such a declaration was in Office Space, a very sarcastic movie.  ARE YOU SAYING WHAT WE THINK YOU’RE SAYING, CHESTER FRENCH?!?! Is this the beginning of the 21st century’s first bubblegum pop beef? Whoa. What a disgusting combination of words. Let’s hope not.

Well, thanks to you guys and your tireless voting efforts, WE WON!! Holy cow.

That means our video will be in regular rotation on MTVu, broadcast into dorm rooms across the country.

WE NEED YOU GUYS to head over to MTVU and vote for “She Loves Everybody” as your favorite video! You can vote as many times as you’d like and voting is ongoing until Friday at 11:59 PM EST.

It’s been a long time coming, but THIS MONDAY, the video for our debut single, “She Loves Everybody,” hits the airwaves. The video will debut as an “Unleashed Video Premiere” on Monday, February 2nd on MTV and will soon move into regular rotation on MTV2 and MTV2.com starting on February 9th.

We’ll also be part of the MTV Networks Discover & Download program starting February 9th and, soon after that, will be featured as one of MTVU’s Freshman 5 artists.

That’s a WHOOOLE lotta Chester French on a whooole lotta MTV networks and shows.

MTV is actually already running promos featuring us on air as of a few days ago, which is insane.

The video should be available for embedding online very soon, so be sure to check back here Monday for more details.

Apparently, someone at MTV is following DA. Hilarious! Here’s the quote:
